New Members
If you are interested in attending one of our meetings then you simply have to turn up. You can see our recent and upcoming events on our blog. Use the Agile Staffordshire Meetup to let us know you’re attending a meeting.
Meetings
Currently held at Staffordshire University, although every meeting will be documented both on the blog and on Meetup so you can easily check the venue.
What You’ll Need
Most meetings consist of a talk followed by an exercise, usually in programming.
A laptop loaded with an IDE and development language of your choice is normally useful, but we often share. Any specific languages or tools will be announced prior to meetings that require them.
The group has a classroom licence for JetBrains’ PHPStorm which integrates PHPUnit and JS unit testing libraries so contact Paul Shannon on paul at paulshannon.com for the licence key.
You don’t need to sign up to the mailing list, or even let us know you’re coming, just turn up. You don’t even need to say hello but I’m sure you’ll want to after seeing the jollity of the meeting. The group is a mix of men and women from both industrial and academic backgrounds, we even have the odd student turn up.
Don’t think that you need to be an Uber Geek to attend, we all started somewhere. So come along and get involved!
Hello,
I am researching the role of stand-up meetings in agile software development for my Masters dissertation. As part of this work I am distributing a questionnaire which aims to investigate how agile teams run their daily/regular team meetings.
If you work in an agile team I would appreciate it if you could find the time to fill in the questionnaire. Just click on the link below:
